Otter, Owl and Wildlife Park
The New Forest Otter, Owl and Wildlife Park is set in 25 acres of ancient woodland, part of the New Forest - southern England's most extensive area of unenclosed land.|
Here you will find part of Europe's largest collection of multi-specied otters, owls and other indigenous wildlife.
The founding proprietors are keen conservationists who have, for over thirty years, been concerned in particular with the status of the otter (in this country and abroad) and the Barn Owl, both of which are threatened species.
We have an ongoing breeding programme for all otters and owls whereby captive bred stock can be released either to supplement existing diminished numbers or re-establish a presence where they formally thrived but are no longer found.
Under new management the park now focuses on the care, conservation and captive breeding of otters, owls and many other species of European wildlife.
Our otter and owl enclosures are situated on circular nature trails which meander through the ancient wooded grounds surrounding the indoor animal accommodation.
Wander along the tree lined walks and experience the close exciting proximity of this world of otters, owls, deer, badgers, foxes and many more native species in near natural surroundings.
To complement your visit why not try our Woodland Bakehouse Tearoom which serves a variety of tasty fayre or the Forest Trading Post to browse through the exciting themed range of wildlife gifts and souvenirs.
