Catapult Marketing Limited was formed in May 2002. Director Julianne Adams set up the company to meet a demand for marketing expertise in areas such as agriculture and Protected Landscapes.
Julianne Adams has worked in marketing for over 12 years - working in agencies and client side. On the agency side, she had experience of working with both charity and commercial clients. Client-side experience at Kraft Foods was on big brands such as Terry's Chocolate Orange and Dairylea.
Most recently, Julianne worked as the Local Produce Officer for the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - in the first role of its kind in the country. It was here that a real opportunity was identified. Producers were good at making their products, but were not aware of their customers' or consumers' needs. It became clear that producers could not rely on subsidies to make their farms profitable and more commercial advice would be needed to take this industry forward.
Catapult Marketing aims to deliver effective and easy to implement solutions to hit business' targets. The first stage of work with any client is to assess the business - this is done through a questionnaire. There follows a meeting to discuss the findings, agree an objective for the marketing activity, and a further investigation as to the areas of the business that could be "selling points" for the products. A report is then prepared to detail the solutions and, where necessary, the costs of implementation.
